Lelouch continues his plan to kidnap Tian Zi successfully, Xingke gets pissed and runs after him with the ultimate Knightmare stolen from India that was the original design of the Gurren made by Lakshata… Though this Knightmare is really a killer… literally… Putting Xingke’s life at risk. The Chinese Federation fails ass, and finally, Lelouch is stuck into a corner but decides to put his ULTIMATE PLANNNNN into action after the entrance of the Rounds knights. OH YEAH. Kallen gets caught and becomes a hostage in the middle of all of this. Great..

Rating: 8/10 I love the suspense at the end, but seeing that I’m in a bad mood today, the action isn’t really getting to me right now. I’ll be in a better mood next week.

Okay. Everyone is like WTFFFF over Zero’s kidnapping attempt, and of course, Tian Zi still looks as cute as ever in the middle of it all. Zero whacks Xingke in the heart by asking him whether the soldier could actually bring her to freedom. Shocker really.Tian Zi is all emo because of the things that go wrong. She’s probably totally shocked.

Nows that’s what I call the ultimate road trip accessories. It’s pizza hut mania in there! Not to mention that she’s the only truly girly girl in the Black Knights, with her magical plushies and Pizza hut pizza. Looks like they deliver everywhere.

Bla bla bla.. Fight scene. Xingke gets pissed and gets a shiny new Knightmare of doom. He and Kallen fight it out, but SHOCKER! It seems that Lakshata developed this Knightmare too, and made it more doomlier than the Gurem. Well, she thought that it was impossible to pilot. Errr…. WRONG. Anyways, Zero’s troups are currently essentially screwed over.

• Ranka is cute. Loved the modified Nyan-Nyan commercial.
• Streets seemed oddly devoid of traffic. Does everyone do what I do and walk everywhere? That would be nice.
• I still want that damn slug cell phone. Better than Code Geass’ phone, in my opinion.
• Annoying fanservice moments with Sheryl wearing the bathing suit, and the students crowding to watch.
• Nice touch with the synchronised planet.
• Alto-hime yaoi doujinshi inbound
• Alto-hime also loses terribly for giving up Ranka for Sheryl.
• Of course, it’s hard to dodge the “real limitless sky” thing that Alto’s always wanted.
• If VF-27 and Kira Yamato are going with Sheryl and Alto, does that mean they’ll fight together instead of against each other? High-performance custom machine alongside grunt machine, FTW!
• Ranka’s diary ED = awesome cuteness
• Also would like to note that the VF design may be one of the best possible mech designs at all. High speed or high maneuverability to avoid the beam rifle or energy weapon being pointed at you, good firepower in the form of either the gatling gun (VF-25) or energy rifle (VF-27, Mikhail’s sniper-type), missile spam, and apparently ‘energy conversion armor’ on other marks. The fighter mode is definitely superior to ZGMF-X10A Freedom (Gundam SEED)’s High Maneuverability Aerial Tactics mode, and probably more maneuverable than MSN-006 Zeta Gundam’s waverider form, too. I don’t even want to think about how badly XXXG-00W0 Wing Zero’s Bird Mode would kill this. Frickin’ Wing.

As for my whereabouts, I haven’t gone anywhere. I’m still here. I check the blog daily. But what am I supposed to blog at this point? I have no access to the goddamn episodes for Nabari no Ou anymore, and god knows who the hell even cares about the KHR anime.

While I’m well aware this post will be deleted sooner or later, I might as well put on a fair show before I take my final leave from the stage.

I think I’ll just leave the blogging up to Daniel and Mochi. I never liked being a third-wheel anyway. Probably shouldn’t have joined and wasted everyone’s time in the first place. Oh well.

But it doesn’t matter since I’m not entirely distracted! Last night I decided to watch through a few Gundam Evolve clips. I’ve been on a bit of a Gundam kick recently because of how undeniably badass the suits are, so I’m torrenting Zeta Gundam to watch for myself. Anyways. Gundam Evolve 1 was just a short recap of the original series, with Amuro remembering upon who he fought alongside and against. No flashy stuff, but it was a good throwback to when I played Journey to Jaburo. Evolve 2 was… rather boring, with a Zeta Gundam scene of the RX-178 flailing around, destroying an observation camera, and degenerating into the pilot whining like an emo teen. Evolve 3 was… a Chinese action film with Gundam units. Ah, G Gundam. Evolve 4 involved the RX-78GP03 in suit and mobile armor form, flying around and kicking indiscriminate Zeon ass. Loved the cameo of the RX-78GP04 at the end, too, which was my favourite design in the pre-Zeta period.

Evolve 5 was a happier ending to one of the stories in the epic movie Char’s Counterattack, involving one of the characters not turning into an angsty emo teen because he killed the girl he loved. Evolve 6 was a clip fron SEED, which involved a dream about a mobile suit gone haywire.  Evolve 7… Wing Zero kicking more infinite ass, except WITHOUT using its hax buster rifle, which got amazing plus points from me. I always thought the buster rifle was an energy waste. Evolve 8 pissed me off. Go youtube it if you want. I don’t care.

Evolve 9 was awesome due to inclusion of ace pilots Amuro Ray and Shin Matsunaga, two of the best of the One Year War. Assault on a Newtype-controlled psychoweapon in low Earth orbit. It was fun. Evolve 10 was something in the ZZ timeline, I’m not too familiar with it.

That’s all the ones I saw, so… yeah. Bleah, I’m tired and needed to remind people that we aren’t dead. At least, I’m not dead. Mochi’s probably playing MapleStory. >_> I should get back to training my White Knight, too.

M-Frontier 11 will be going up sometime in the next few hours, I think. I got time to do it.

Soul Eater 10! Time to do something without being reminded for once so Mochi doesn’t kick my sorry ass.

Episode starts with tomatoes falling to the water. …Don’t ask. It looked like a rotten tomato to me. Tsubaki monologue about her being a kid? Who’s the other guy with the ponytail? Ah, unanswered questions.

Episode -seems- to be something relating to Tsubaki’s past, from the start. Acceptance of a mission to kill the Masamune, apparently another competitor to Chrona and Ragnarok to become the Demon God.

Stein cancels class for some strange reason. Soul, of course, thinks that’s really cool. Tsubaki and Black Star also aren’t in class, because they went to perform the action against the Masamune.

Black Star and Tsubaki go to a town ripped out of feudal Japan. Tsubaki starts revealing something to BS, but he runs off looking at a statue, which he promptly stands on top of, pissing off the townspeople, considering that the statue’s the patron god of the town. …Old guy starts pelvic thrusting. FOOOO– *shot dead by Mochi*

The rest of the town comes out, and BS starts pointing fingers at everyone until they notice the star-shaped mark on his right shoulder. The only survivor of the… Star Clan? At this point, the entire town begins getting pissed off at him instead. BS and Tsubaki are chased out of town by an angry mob, and they take refuge in a nearby tree.

Tsubaki looks on, and looks rather emotional, as BS reminisces about his tattoo, and begins telling a story about his clan, who apparently started going after human souls too. The last survivor of his clan. …Is this familiar to anyone else? Because I’m not sure of the similar subject material since it’s mainstream as HELL, but…

BS also doesn’t care about why Tsubaki knows Masamune. Which is perfectly okay with him, since he just wants to kick some ass around. At which point, someone wearing a hat walks into the town looking oddly similar to that guy in Tsubaki’s flashback. OH SHI-

Scene to Maka talking with Stein to Shinigami-sama, wondering why BS was allowed to go. Death the Kid walks in too, wondering the same, as Stein begins to explain that the Fey Blade works alone, making him possibly more dangerous than Chrona/Ragnarok working together.

The other kid from earlier is snuck up on by the guy in the hat, and is promptly– cut short by the eyecatch.

…

Grandpa walks in to the building but notices that the kid is carrying a katana, as the kid promptly… does something to make the old man cry out GUAAAH. BS and Tsubaki start moving and kick the possessed kid in the face. 24 damage!

Important quote in screenshot above. Swordie recognises Tsubaki, and she comes up with a fun little plan, switching to her chainsword form, feeling guilty about using Black Star… at which point he doesn’t care and just goes along with it.

Explanation above! I don’t feel like typing as much as I should! Goddammit! Black Star starts jumping around like a frickin’ bunnyhopping maniac, yelling the whole time, then slips and–

Black Star stops failing momentarily to make an epic parry of an epic thrust, which rips off one of my older invented techniques, but then evolves to stab him through a couple times. Sadly enough, BS starts getting his ass kicked.

Then he takes a moment to perform the Resonance of Souls maneuver, creating a shield from Tsubaki’s chain, deflecting the slash, jumping up and using the soul-wavelength attack to break the bond on the other guy, as… Tsubaki… WAIT WHAT

ASD;LFKJ NO DON’T DO THAT WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING. She merges with the Fey Blade. Ah shit. Soul wonders how she can fight alone without her master.

Oddly terrifying music at this part. I’m actually slightly chilled right now just from hearing it. Tsubaki, inside the Fey Blade, wonders where he is, as he says that he will slay her where she stands. And that he has been expecting her. …THEY LOOK THE S–

….AH SHIT.

One of the things I didn’t like about this episode was how bloody slow the opening scenes were, but I guess that was required to set up the remainder of the story. I’m probably used to things rushing along too quickly. >_>; lol city life. And yes, Mochi, I know I’m a lazy bastard and don’t know what the meaning of “fast” is, please don’t kill me.

It’s me again! Short review this time, no summary, less sarcasm, because I am tired as all fuck and really, really need to get my bearings straight. Or at least marginally so. So let’s get started! Mm, carrots.

Episode starts off… remarkablylike part of Macross Zero. Which is what’s going on – they’re filming a movie based on Macross Zero, kinda like Do You Remember Love. That said, I’m impressed with how some of the cues, like Ranka as Mao’s slide-turn off the palm tree, resembled the ones from Zero. I’d like to note, though, that the animation quality wasn’t as good as Zero’s.

I would like to say, Triangler from here and Resonance from Soul Eater are unskippable OPs, in my opinion. I just like the songs.

Er, sorry. Birdman story movie, A.K.A. Macross Zero. It fits, considering Zero was 5 OVA episodes of 30 minutes or so. Apparently Sheryl’s going to sing an image song for it. Considering that the original song in Zero wasn’t a pop song… whatever. Nice touch with playing the Nyan-Nyan commercial.

I still want that fucking slugphone. Regardless, Ranka is cute again about how she can’t act, Alto teases her, but teaches her something about her history. Cut short by the fact that he’s on a date with Sheryl. Sheryl shows jealousy. ah, love triangles. Alto shows emo at using his dad’s words. I am writing way too much.

Comedy at Sheryl hanging from wires! Anyway, Ranka feels jealous too. Cut to reused animation of the VF-27 piloted by Kira Yamato. Interesting thoughts arise about how cameras for our purposes act as cameras for the characters. Would be nice to see camera shaking too, whenever things whiz by. Shouldn’t be too much animation work…

No idea what the fuck an entire colony ship is doing with a massive sea in it. Might be more useful to have farms. Anyways, mine is not to reason why. Also, wildlife. Anyways, musta still been easy to convert this weird island into something vaguely resembling the Mayan Island from M-Zero. I’m still confused about being unable to just automatically write in the VF-0. Maybe they need the VF-25 to act as a “special effects” producer, making the “special effect” of thermonuclear jet blast? Also, why are they still using Sea Sergeant (Sea Hawk) helicopters in 2057? Did tiltrotor technology crash that hard?

Nice work on Sheryl running past the stuck-up bitch. Also nice work on Alto being recognised by the film crew. Also nice work that Alto was a trap character. Also nice work that there was a love scene in the film he was in. …poor bastard. Nice work with… LOL SCENE 47.

Bad luck with car accident cauesd by wildlife. Also bad luck that this has been the same weird creature that’s been plaguing people. Good luck with that really, really pretty Aimo song landing Ranka a role, and attracting the weird creature. Next scene – I guess this entire colony cylinder is the result of a desire for a fucking bathhouse. Moving on…

lol wildlife. Anyways, I -still- don’t get the regraphics thing. (That and the VF-0 models looked a bit nicer than the VF-25 in my opinion.) Also lol scene 47. Setup for Ranka and Alto kissing, heh. Anyways, bad luck with the animal coming to attack Ranka. And bad animation during the fight scene. Though it is a throwback to earlier action anime.

Had to take a screen of Alto eating dirt, sorry. Anyways, monster attack thingy. I actually liked the slightly nostalgic action style. Reminded me of DBZ or Pokemon, and exactly how overdone that fight scene was. Kira Yamato walking in and kicking the thing’s ass was also a bit overdone.

Gundam 00 vibes. Intersting Ranka flashback, though. And we find out Kira’s name! Brera Sterne. I’m still calling him Kira, though. Anyways, we come almost full circle. Ranka is Mao, with Aimo serving as the image song. Except… LOL SCENE 47.

Ranka is cute. Cut to Kira standing all pretty-boy at the ocean, listening to Veda talking to him. It’s like a Gundam mashup! Anyways, poor Ranka. Seeing Alto taken away from her all the time… it’s really embarassing to see that kind of thing happen. Poor Alto never sees what any of that means to her, anyways. (Hard to believe Ranka’s in the year below him.) Also, Sheryl is rather evil for doing that to him.

Ranka gains courage to do her scene! And then it just turns into a rehashing of animation from Macross Zero. That creepy-ass eye comes back.

Anyways, masterful execution of scene here. Cuts to movie theater and the premiere of the Bird Man story, where Ranka is shown as highly embarassed. Also, interesting revelation. “Dr. Mao?” M-Zero watchers, take note. Also, remember Sheryl’s and Mao’s last names…? Back to the subject, another nice stroke of work with converting the song into the ending credits of both the movie and the TV episode.

Ranka gets her moment of truth! I can go to sleep now because Mochi isn’t kicking my ass to finish the episode anymore! >_>; That said, I desperately want a VF-25 or VF-0 model or figure. Would be a nice piece of engineering.
