Not Entirely Distracted
June 23, 2008So, uh, you’ll notice this blog is not really dead, it’s just that Mochi and Dan have been distracted and Haruhi knows where hibaridesu went.
But it doesn’t matter since I’m not entirely distracted! Last night I decided to watch through a few Gundam Evolve clips. I’ve been on a bit of a Gundam kick recently because of how undeniably badass the suits are, so I’m torrenting Zeta Gundam to watch for myself. Anyways. Gundam Evolve 1 was just a short recap of the original series, with Amuro remembering upon who he fought alongside and against. No flashy stuff, but it was a good throwback to when I played Journey to Jaburo. Evolve 2 was… rather boring, with a Zeta Gundam scene of the RX-178 flailing around, destroying an observation camera, and degenerating into the pilot whining like an emo teen. Evolve 3 was… a Chinese action film with Gundam units. Ah, G Gundam. Evolve 4 involved the RX-78GP03 in suit and mobile armor form, flying around and kicking indiscriminate Zeon ass. Loved the cameo of the RX-78GP04 at the end, too, which was my favourite design in the pre-Zeta period.
Evolve 5 was a happier ending to one of the stories in the epic movie Char’s Counterattack, involving one of the characters not turning into an angsty emo teen because he killed the girl he loved. Evolve 6 was a clip fron SEED, which involved a dream about a mobile suit gone haywire. Evolve 7… Wing Zero kicking more infinite ass, except WITHOUT using its hax buster rifle, which got amazing plus points from me. I always thought the buster rifle was an energy waste. Evolve 8 pissed me off. Go youtube it if you want. I don’t care.
Evolve 9 was awesome due to inclusion of ace pilots Amuro Ray and Shin Matsunaga, two of the best of the One Year War. Assault on a Newtype-controlled psychoweapon in low Earth orbit. It was fun. Evolve 10 was something in the ZZ timeline, I’m not too familiar with it.
That’s all the ones I saw, so… yeah. Bleah, I’m tired and needed to remind people that we aren’t dead. At least, I’m not dead. Mochi’s probably playing MapleStory. >_> I should get back to training my White Knight, too.
M-Frontier 11 will be going up sometime in the next few hours, I think. I got time to do it.

Tomoyo’s Ending OVA
June 14, 2008
YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS
DanHawking will be blogging this like a man possessed by spiral rage. Yes he will. Though apparently it’s… not the entire Tomoyo After series. Which… inspires more spiral rage in me to go and burst in to KyoAni and… and…
…I’m not sure. I’ll think of something.
[M-Frontier 10 -review-, not summary, up later tonight!]
Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion R2 09
June 13, 2008
(Woot I finally foudd out about actions, which shortened my screen edit time by an hour + Sooo happy)

Emo facial contortion? For the Lulz.
The Black Knights are finally free from the evil Britannians(for now), Eunuchs don’t have… *coughs*, poor Tian Zi is stuck marrying to someone at least 20 years older than her, and of course her hubby Xingke comes along to crash to wedding to fufill a promise, only to have Zero crash his plan for the wedding, taking Tian Zi hostage… Though she was supposed to be a Brittanian hostage. Well.. the lack of super duper action is a much needed relief, and this episode is as epic as the other ones.
Rating: 9.5/10 I love it even more than the last epi. This season of Code Geass is AMAZING.
Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion R2 08
May 26, 2008
EPIC ENTRANCE FTW
Anyways, this Code Geass epi is even better than the last one, featuring a even more jaw dropping plot twists. How on earth can they stuff it with so many lot twists yet keep it so unique and not repetitive?! THE WORLD MAY NEVER KNOW.. Of course… There were things that got on my nerves.
It’s late… I’m studying for finals.. so some quick notes only… Watch it yourself if you want a detailed plot summary okay?
Rating: 9/10… Since it ROCKS ASS… And reinvigorated me though I was exhausted. Now that is PRO. However, this episode of Eclipse is a bit lower quality than usual.. Hm…
Soul Eater 07
May 25, 2008
Mochi: LOL SHOUJO BEAT. 8D
Mochi: Based on its manga counterpart, Soul Eater is set in a alternate universe where the students of Shibusen, go collect corrupt souls with the chance of becoming Kishin, or a type of demon/insanity thing. Weapons are actually in a human form and with their wielders they must collect 99 souls with the potential of becoming a kishin as well as 1 witch soul in an effort for the weapon to becoming one of Shinigami-sama’s official death scythes. The series focuses on Maka and her weapon Soul as they go through the up and downs of a chaotic daily life.
This is a Bones 10th anniversary project, so expect smooth and beautiful animation for battle scenes, and awesome CGI.
This is also the first collab review by DanHawking and Mochi.
Mochi rating: 9/10
